Tundpack

Tundpack is a high-performance Tundish Packing Mass for Continuous Casting Operations. It is a refractory packing material used in tundish bottom areas during continuous casting of steel. It plays a critical role in sealing and supporting the joints between side and bottom tundish boards, as well as stabilizing the nozzle seating and well block area. A properly formulated Tundpack ensures strong joint integrity, controlled compaction, and resistance against molten metal penetration during high temperatures.

We offer high quality refractory packing mass supplied in powder form with a gray to black appearance. It is specifically developed as a tundish packing material for sealing joints between side and bottom tundish boards and for supporting nozzle seating areas during continuous casting.

Due to high SiO₂ content, our formulation provides strong structural sealing capability and excellent resistance against molten steel penetration. The presence of carbon enhances resistance to liquid metal attack and improves performance stability under high temperature conditions. The controlled moisture content of around 30% ensures proper compaction during installation, allowing consistent and reliable joint packing.
Our tundish packing material delivers effective bottom joint sealing, reduced risk of molten metal leakage, and improved operational safety.
