Product Overview
Castable 60S is a high alumina dense refractory castable containing around 60% Al₂O₃ and is designed for demanding high temperature industrial applications. It is hydraulically bonded and installed using vibration casting, ensuring strong structural integrity and reliable lining performance.
Developed for low cement applications, Castable 60S provides excellent thermal stability, abrasion resistance, and mechanical strength. With a maximum service temperature of 1800°C, it performs efficiently in high heat environments such as steel ladles, rotary kilns, and heating furnaces. The controlled grain size (0–5 mm) ensures proper compaction and uniform installation.
With a bulk density of minimum 2.56 g/cc and with a minimum cold crushing strength of 450 kg/cm² at 110°C, Castable 60S delivers dependable structural performance under thermal and mechanical stress. Its balanced chemical composition enhances resistance to wear, slag attack, and temperature fluctuations.
