Insulating Sleeves are high-performance riser sleeves used in steel casting and iron foundry applications to improve feeding efficiency during solidification. Installed around the riser head, these sleeves retain heat in the molten metal, delay solidification, and prevent shrinkage defects such as piping and internal cavities.

By maintaining directional solidification, Insulating Sleeves ensure continuous molten metal feeding until complete casting formation. This results in higher casting yield, reduced riser size, and improved structural soundness. These sleeves are widely used in steel plants and foundries to optimize metal utilization, minimize rejection rates, and enhance productivity.

Manufactured from silica-based refractory material with minimum 70% SiO₂, our Insulating Sleeves offer controlled density, stable permeability, and reliable thermal insulation under high-temperature casting conditions.

Types of Insulating Sleeves

Round Bottom Sleeve: Designed for cylindrical risers, ensuring uniform heat retention and stable feeding performance.

Square Bottom Sleeve: Suitable for square riser configurations, offering improved alignment and feeding control.
