- Slide gate systems
- Continuous casting operations
Product Overview
Nozzle Filling Compound (NFC) is a freely flowing granular material used in ladle and tundish nozzles to ensure reliable free opening during continuous casting process. It prevents molten steel from entering and sintering inside the nozzle bore before casting begins. A properly formulated NFC eliminates the need for oxygen lancing and reduces operational downtime.
We offer two high-performance variants:
Silica Base Nozzle Filling Compound, manufactured with high-purity SiO₂ (96% minimum), it is designed for stable thermal performance and controlled flow characteristics.
Chromite Base Nozzle Filling Compound, manufactured with high Cr₂O₃ (10-12% minimum) content for higher refractoriness and superior resistance under extreme temperature and ferro static pressure conditions.
Our NFC is processed with controlled granulometry to ensure smooth flowability and prevent compaction. The non-sintering nature of the material supports high free opening success rates, helping steel plants achieve consistent casting without nozzle blockage.
Low moisture levels and controlled bulk density ensure long shelf life, reliable storage stability, and compatibility with automated casting systems.
