Product Overview
Pouring Cup is a funnel shaped refractory component installed at the top of the mould in foundry casting operations. It is designed to ensure smooth and controlled entry of molten metal into the sprue system. By stabilizing the metal stream at the initial entry point, the Pouring Cup reduces turbulence, prevents air aspiration, and minimizes slag and impurity entry into the mould cavity.
A properly designed pouring cup helps maintain consistent metal flow rate and pressure during pouring. This improves casting quality by reducing surface defects, blowholes, and oxide inclusions. It also protects the gating system from erosion and metal splash, ensuring better mould performance and improved yield.
