Product Overview
Alumina Ceramic Foam Filter is a high-temperature filtration solution designed for aluminium and non-ferrous metal casting applications. It removes non-metallic inclusions, oxide films, and slag particles from molten aluminium before it enters the mould cavity, significantly improving metal cleanliness and casting quality.
The open-cell ceramic structure ensures uniform metal flow and reduces turbulence during pouring. By stabilizing the molten stream, the filter minimizes air entrapment and surface defects, resulting in improved surface finish and enhanced mechanical properties of the final casting. Its high alumina composition provides excellent refractoriness and resistance to thermal shock.
Alumina Ceramic Foam Filters are widely used in aluminium foundries to enhance yield, reduce rejection rates, and improve consistency in casting operations. The filter supports smooth mold filling behaviour and controlled metal flow in gating systems.
