Exothermic Sleeves

Premium Industrial Solutions

Exothermic Sleeves are high-performance riser sleeves used in steel and iron casting to enhance feeding efficiency during solidification. Unlike insulating sleeves, exothermic sleeves generate additional heat through controlled exothermic reactions, maintaining molten metal temperature for a longer duration in the riser zone.

This extended heat retention promotes effective directional solidification, minimizes shrinkage defects, and significantly improves casting yield. Exothermic Sleeves reduce riser volume, lower rejection rates, and increase overall productivity in foundry operations. They are widely used in steel ingot casting, heavy-section components, and high-pressure moulding lines where controlled feeding and dimensional accuracy are critical.

Manufactured with optimized density (0.55–0.65 g/cc), controlled permeability, and exothermic aluminium content, these sleeves ensure stable performance under high-temperature casting conditions.
