About the Role
Join Special Mineral Specialties Pvt. Ltd. as a Plant HR Business Partner and play a strategic role in managing people operations within a manufacturing environment.
This role bridges the gap between plant operations and human resource management by ensuring that workforce practices align with production goals and organizational policies. The Plant HR Business Partner will work closely with plant leadership, supervisors, and employees to drive employee engagement, workforce planning, performance management, and compliance with labor regulations.
This is a high-impact role within the manufacturing setup where you will contribute to building a productive, disciplined, and motivated workforce while ensuring smooth HR operations within the plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary HR point of contact for plant employees, supervisors, and department heads.
- Support workforce planning by coordinating manpower requirements with plant leadership and recruitment teams.
- Manage end-to-end HR operations at the plant including onboarding, attendance management, leave tracking, and employee records.
- Address employee grievances and support conflict resolution to maintain a positive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, industrial relations policies, and company HR guidelines.
- Assist in performance management processes including goal setting, reviews, and feedback coordination.
- Monitor employee engagement and morale within the plant and support initiatives to improve workplace culture.
- Facilitate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and productivity.
- Support disciplinary processes and ensure adherence to workplace conduct and safety standards.
- Maintain HR documentation, employee files, and statutory records required for compliance.
- Coordinate with payroll, administration, and operations teams to ensure smooth HR processes.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with plant employees and supervisors.
- Understanding of industrial relations and labour law compliance within manufacturing environments.
- Ability to handle employee grievances and workplace conflict resolution professionally.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to address workforce challenges in a practical manner.
- Ability to work closely with plant operations teams and understand production-driven environments.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and HR information systems.
- High integrity and confidentiality in handling employee information.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Management (BBA / BMS / B.Com)
OR
- Postgraduate qualification in Human Resources or Industrial Relations (MBA HR / PGDM HR)
Experience
- Freshers or candidates with 0–2 years of experience in HR operations, employee relations, or HR generalist roles.
- Internship or project exposure in industrial HR, plant HR, or labour compliance will be an added advantage.
- Experience in manufacturing, steel, minerals, or process industries is preferred but not mandatory.
